Seattle Mural Project

We recently entered 2 sketches into an event this summer called the Seattle Mural Project. Both of our designs were selected as finalists for each of their respective walls, and now its up to the public to weigh in on the designs! If you'd be interested in checking out and rating our mural designs, it could greatly improve our chances to paint either of the murals.

The first mural is under Travis czekalski of rather severe, about 3/4 down the page below:

The second mural is under the name "Treehead" by Jon, about 2/3 down the page below:

Thank you so much for your support, and wish us luck!

Taft Elementary Salmon Life Cycle Mural

We just finished painting this "Salmon Life Cycle" Mural at Taft Elementary in Lincoln City last Friday. We got to paint with the entire 3rd Grade class (60 students), which was one of the most rewarding and wonderful experiences we've ever had painting. The kids used stencils that we made to draw fish onto the wall, then they primed the inside of their fish outline white. They came back the next day and painted colors on the fish they had drawn the day before. Each student got to learn a little bit about the mural painting process, and about the salmon life cycle as part of their core curriculum. Hopefully we'll be painting in more schools soon!
